inspections, the National Association of Infrared Specialists (NAIS) was established to promote professionalism,
consistency, and industry best practices among thermal imaging professionals.
Founded in 2007 through the efforts of the non-profit North American Association of Home Inspectors, Inc. (AHI),
NAIS was created to advance ethical standards, technical excellence, and professional development within the thermal
surveying industry. Through its Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, NAIS provides guidance for both experienced
thermographers and those entering the profession. Today, with a growing international membership, NAIS serves as
a leading voice in the promotion of quality, integrity, and professional standards for infrared Specialists worldwide.
